Environmental Gifts Can Help Stop Global Warming

http://www.giftsthatbloom.com/images/environmentalgifts.jpg Georgetown, Texas -- May 21, 2006 -- There is a large demand for eco-friendly gifts, as more people are learning about the dangers of global warming. GiftsthatBloom.com has created over 75 complete and colorful ecological gift gardens to help celebrate many themes and occasions, from birthdays and anniversaries to patriotic gardens and even holidays such as Hanukkah and Christmas.

"Consumers are becoming much more environmentally conscious", said Robert Piller, Vice President of GiftsthatBloom.com. "Look at any magazine, and you'll see car ads touting hybrid engines or laundry detergents that do not harm the environment. Since all the reports of global warming after the destructive hurricane disasters, more people than ever are becoming involved in ecology, recycling, and other environmental issues."

"People now want to give gifts that make them feel good and help the environment at the same time".

GiftsthatBloom.com created unique and complete mini garden kits in several main styles. Each complete garden kit contains easy-grow seeds, enriched soil and nutrients and a special container to grow the flowers or plants. One is a 5" x 7" recyclable leak-proof bag that sits upright on any desk, table or cabinet (or it can even be hung on a wall). The other garden kit is a 3-3/4" tall leak-proof can. Just plant the seeds about 1/8" deep in the provided soil mix, add water and sunlight and your flowers or plants will begin to blossom in 1-2 weeks. Each kit is complete--just add water and sunlight - and your window sill garden will begin to germinate in a week or two.

This family-run business continues to develop new themes and ideas, based on retailer's suggestions. "In the past few weeks, we have added over 20 new themed garden kits, including an assortment of organic herbs and many easy-to-grow children's gardens such as the Venus flytrap, a dinosaur plant and the world's biggest sunflower kit", Piller says.

Half the fun, he adds, is coming up with the new designs and locating the seeds for these exclusive kits, as many exotic seeds come from around the world. "We have plants and flowers from the rainforest, a plant that has been around since the Age of the Dinosaurs, even redwood and sequoia trees that can grow to 600 feet tall and live for about 1,000 years", Piller says.
